What Dentures Includes
Full Dentures
Full dentures replace all teeth in an upper or lower arch. Their fit depends on the contours of the gums and jaw, saliva, muscle control and the quality of the denture design.
Partial Dentures
A removable partial denture replaces several missing teeth while using remaining natural teeth for support and retention.
Immediate Dentures
Immediate dentures are prepared before planned tooth removal and inserted soon after extractions so the patient has teeth during the healing phase. They usually require adjustments or relining as the tissues change.
Denture Relining
A reline resurfaces the tissue side of an existing denture to improve adaptation after changes in the gums and jaw. A reline cannot correct every problem with an old or worn denture.
Hybrid Prosthesis
A hybrid prosthesis is a fixed implant-supported full-arch restoration that combines an implant framework with a complete set of replacement teeth. It is removable only by the dental team for maintenance.
Denture Repair
A cracked, chipped or ill-fitting denture may need repair rather than full replacement. The office can evaluate whether the existing denture can be restored or if remaking it is the better option.
