Enameloplasty, also called tooth contouring, gently reshapes very small areas of enamel. It may be used to smooth an uneven edge, soften a minor point or improve subtle differences in tooth shape when sufficient healthy enamel is present.
It is often finished in the same visit as an exam, and is sometimes paired with bonding or whitening as part of a broader cosmetic plan.
